This session of Iberian Con­nec­tions fea­tures Pro­fessor Yonsoo Kim, of Purdue Uni­versity, the foremost spe­cialist in the works and life of Teresa de Cartagena, and other women writers. Pro­fessor Kim has intro­duced her pre­sen­tation in the article written for this session, and sug­gested a list of readings to prepare for the pre­sen­tation and debate. The works of Teresa de Cartagena, both in man­u­script and in modern edi­tions, have been likewise put at the dis­po­sition of those inter­ested in fol­lowing this session.

Holly Kashin Brown will also show some ele­ments of her digital human­ities project on women writers, with par­ticular attention to Teresa de Cartagena. She has pre­sented her project in an article for Iberian Con­nec­tions.

Yale Uni­versity graduate student Nils Longueira Borrego has been gen­erous enough to mod­erate the session and serve as a respondent.
