The sixth and last session of Iberian Connections for the fall-2019 semester features two specialists in Legal History, trans-disciplinar approaches to Law and Culture, and Medieval Studies. Beatrice Pasciuta is a Professor of Law at the University of Palermo, where she directs a research project on the multicultural and multiconfessional Norman kingdom of Sicily. Emanuele Conte, Professor of Law at the University of Roma Tre, has worked on the theoretical and practical discussions taking place in the margins of medieval compilations of Roman Law, as well as on the history of the invention of the discipline of Legal History. Coordinating and responding, we will have Brais Lamela, from Columbia University.

Both Professor Pasciuta and Professor Conte have prepared some materials to help us going on with the discussion.

Iberian Connections is supported by the Department of Spanish and Portuguese and The Macmillan Center.
